Ocean
In the creative writing class I took my junior year of high school, we had to write and turn in three poems. Due to my lack of poetry skills, I decided to do a visual poem. Being a lover of the ocean, I decided to make this poem look like ocean waves, and I also used words to describe the ocean. And . . . yeah. Here it is. Enjoy!
Flood
This is another poem that I turned in to creative writing, but I actually wrote this one when I was in the 5th grade. We were studying the Japanese culture, and we were writing haikus. That January, there was a big storm in Sacramento, CA (where we lived at the time), and I remember sitting in the living room, looking out the window at the rain. So, I wrote this haiku about that.
Limericks Worksheet
A worksheet that I had to do for my English class in my freshman year of high school. We were given the first line and had to come up with the rest. These are not dirty, but they are amusing, if only for their lameness.
The Flood of '95
Another original poem of mine, also about the flood from when I was in the 5th grade. This one was written for my English class in my freshman year of high school. Each stanza is written similar to the form of a tanrenga (in a way, connecting it to the Flood haiku that I wrote in '95, as the haiku originated from the renga).
Tomorrow
Another original poem of mine from my junior year creative writing class. I wasn't depressed when I wrote this, don't worry; a friend of mine was going through a hard time and, in trying to imagine how she was feeling, this poem came out.
